Clap your hands.
This might be a quick post because I’m a little under the weather and we just got back from a late dinner. We tried again to go to the Knight’s Castle and once again they were closed for a private party. We ended up going to the Bavarian Café. It was good and a good price too. There was three of us and we each had a meal and non alcoholic drinks, one salad, one soup, two orders of fried mashed potato balls, bread and two ice cream deserts all for about $35.00 US. It would have easily been a $60.00 meal in the USA. We also have to say that the ice cream here is the best!
Now for our visits. I have been trying my best to keep my distance form Sophia because of this cold I have but it’s so hard not to want to pick her up and give her kisses. Today I took video of when we arrived at the baby house. Just to show how happy she gets when she sees us. When we arrived for the lunch time visit the children were outside in strollers. We decided that we would stroll her around some since the weather was so nice. She loved it and has to see everything. When we got close to the gate we turned around but apparently not soon enough. One of the caretakers came running after us. Maybe they thought we were taking her shopping. We thought it was crazy. We’re to adults and they don’t trust us to go close to the gate with a baby. Today Sophia also mastered clapping her hands when we tell her to. It’s to cute but we haven’t been able to get it yet.
Enough for now. By the way, apparently Michael Jackson was famous were too. They have his videos playing everyplace you go and the bus driver even had MJ playing on the radio.
Pictured below:
*I think I can eat this book. Cool house, can't wait to return there.
*Pretty girl.
*A traffic circle that looks like a death trap. Not everyone stays right.
*The shopping area close to our apartment.
*The small store close to the apartment. We stop here everyday for something. Water, ice cream, snacks.
*Russian church. This manually operated bell tower wakes us up every morning.
*Nice play area at the baby house. This eqipment was donated by a US agency. We think only the toddlers use it.

I love the energy this kid has! What fun it will be to watch her grow up! She's going to keep you all very busy. : )
Missy you can see the love all over her face already! The way she responds to your voices is amazingly sweet. Now you have me crying again. geez, louise.
The roundabout (circle) reminds me of Cairo.... do they beep their horns to let each other know they are there? That's what they do in Egypt. One beep for "I'm here" and 2 beeps for "out of my way."
It's Latimore Valley Fair time. Everyone is busy today moving tractors up to the fairgrounds.
Do they have 31 flavors of ice cream?
You know Bill, if you wore a few more layers of clothes you might not get sick. : )
Love ya!

Hi,
Sophia is tugging at my heart. I can't wait to get one of her wet kisses. Are you teaching her- Grammie?
The country is beautiful. Bring home some ice cream. ha! ha!
Love you, Mom
Hope you feel better soon Bill. Sophia looks so very happy to see her parents! Love that video.
It gets harder and harder to have to go along with the caregivers, especially after court knowing that she is legally your child. I got really frustrated by the end and was so ready to leave even though the caregivers there are pretty gracious. It is just hard not being able to care for your child on a full time basis when you are bonded and having been waiting so long for the opportunity. Maybe they thought you were going to break her out to the apartment like I secretly started to do with Rustam ;)
It is a good thing meals are cheaper there with that monthly income the locals have. It is hard to believe how they can survive on that knowing how expensive clothing is. That Bavaria is nice. The beer is good, so you will have to try it when you are feeling better.
I feel like I am looking at pictures of my old hometown. What do you think of the buses there?
GREAT VIDEOS! leeza was on my lap saying "More, more"!
hope you feel better soon...and stop trying to push your baby off the baby house property! :)
I love coming here everyday and checking out this little beauty. Also I like to hear about your experiences out and about. Give Sophia a big hug from me. Bye!
Love seeing her energy and BIG smile when you enter the room! You both must be so happy and in love, family is just great! I am sooooo happy for you all!
Oh forgot to say that I hope you are feeling better real soon!
the church that you have a picture of looks like a russian orthodox church, do you know if it is? We are Orthodox, so just wondering if this is a church that we could attend, since it is right near the apartments?!
