Bonding day 2, for real.

Today Sophie couldn’t decide if she wanted to sleep or play. She kept going back and forth between playing, fussing and putting her head down. We bought her a teething ring today but after we got it we were told not to freeze it because in this country they believe that this causes sore throats. We still have to play by their rules so it won’t be frozen. Maybe chilled. After our visit we went to eat at an Armenian restaurant. We had pork kabobs, boiled cabbage, potatoes with onions, chicken soup and a warm bread that had cheese inside it. The food was very good and needless to say we ate to much and were sitting at the apartment right now swearing we won’t eat that much again. Yea right!! Speaking of food. Mommy was asked if she is going to try to feed Sophia. Up till today Daddy has been the only one doing the feedings. Mommy felt pressured and she said yes and I have to say she did real good and didn’t kill out little pumpkin. Sophia sure gets mad when she is done with her snack as you can see in the video. A BIG dramatic yawn. Mommy feeding Sophia a snack. A local Kazak fashion model.

Hello,
Sophia is teething big time. Melissa mission accomplished. Now you know you can make sure she is getting her meals and still loves you.
The food looks very good. I'm getting use to the happy look on Sophia's face, but Melissa and Bill, I've never seen the two of happier.
Loving the pictures.
Love, Mom

Oh my goodness... I played this video over and over. She just wanted another bite. She's a heartbreaker already. : )

Missy, you make that apron and scarf stylish. Especially with the pink and black! I think you could start a new trend back home.

Glad to see you are both enjoying yourselves.

Hugs,
Tamara

Leeza totally used to do that when she snack was done too. That cookies/milk or break/milk combo is YUMMY!

She is such a sweetie-poor munchkin with the teething.

Leeza didnt' like the teethers frozen either-but she did like them chilled. I remember when I was sharing my milkshake with her and Tatiana (our translator) said NO NO NO, don't give her that..much too cold..she'll get a sore throat and I was like "Huh?"
The first time i gave her yogurt she shivered because she wasn't used to having anything cold. :)

Glad you're enjoying the delish food that Kostanai has to offer and enjoying Miss Sophie. :)

Melissa is definitely the Kazakh model and not the babushka type :) Good job feeding mama! We thought the food there was good, too, and we still lost lots of weight eating a lot. It is healthier and all of that walking and climbing doesn't hurt either.
