Bonding day 10

We are already finished with 10 bonding days. Our last one will be Sunday and our coordinator is already working on getting the paperwork ready to file for a court date first thing Monday. Yes, the weekends count for bonding days. Truth be told we kind of enjoy our weekend visits. It’s more relaxed around the baby house and we are all alone with Sophia without interruptions.

The children today spent the day outside in their hut which you can see in the photo. They have cribs and a playpen in there. They also have a sink and potty chairs. I noticed that they were doing a good cleaning on the indoor room so we’re guessing they take the kids to the huts during the cleaning. When we returned today for our second visit we were told that Sophia didn’t take her nap. It showed to as she was a little grumpy. However we still had a good visit.

After the visits today we just wanted something simple to eat so we went to our favorite little pizza shop, Dolce Vita. The coordinator was busy today getting Sophia’s medical paperwork ready for court so she met us there after the visit. We then just ran some errands with her and came back and did our daily load of laundry.

"Hmm, I bet I can rule the nest"

Daddy reading Sophia Brown Bear Brown Bear. She loves it!!

The baby house.

The outdoor hut for Sophia's group. They have about 14 of these.

Our favorite pizza shop with an English menu.

Daddy's new haircut. I asked for a flat top. Melissa likes it. I might keep it. It looks like the Kazakhstan water is making my hair look a little on the gray side.

Do you think they understood the term "flat top?" I think the haircut makes you look like you are a local. It's a good look.

The orphanage sure is colorful. They really pay attention to the details... down to painting the chains in different colors. And it looks to be an entire campus.

What kind of "group" is Sophia part of? How many children? Are they all the same age? Do they play together?

Sorry for all the questions... but I'm enjoying the journey through your eyes!

How did the pizza taste?

Hugs!
Tamara

HI,
I like the cut Bill and I'm sure its the water making you gray. I found out we have the same stuff in our water that makes you gray thats why I got gray so early.
Can't wait to meet our little girl I hope she likes me (whats not to like).Ha!
Hopefully when I do see Ya'll I be able to make Gumbo for you.
Milissa, I was wondering how the message was, and can you get your hair colored there? Another don't they have places or people that would wash your cloths ?

Mom and I love looking at your pictures!!! Bill, good haircut...but it's not the water making you grey, it's fatherhood!

I MADE tHIS REALLY long post and then i got an error..UGH!!!

so glad to hear you are having yummy food at Dolce Vita (so miss that place) and hope you are having a Baltica Number 5 beer for me. :)

I loved spending outside with the munkins in their huts. It's good for them to be outside, but of course, bundled up appropriately, with no cold water or ice. :)

Leeza loves Brown Bear too-as did her brother.

yes-it's already clear that Sophia rules the roost---she is such a pretty thing. Those blue eyes will get her anything she wants. :)

Hope you get a quick precourt date and then court. We got our pre-court date a week and a half from bonding, then court 3 weeks later. Hoping you get "the fast judge" who is also nice. :) We got the slow judge, but she was sure sweet and I still will never regret one moment we spent in our daughter's birthplace. :)

So glad you hear you guys having fun and keeping a sense of humor. :)

I love that rule the roost photo. So adorable! Oh and how were your massages? I had them and boy did she have a heavy hand. I laughed so hard when someone else said "that wasn't a massage, it was an assault!" because it was so on target.

Yeah! Glad to see Sophia likes books. The Baby house is much more modern then I thought it would be. We love to read your descriptions of the places you go. (Sounds like a Dr. Suess book!)
