Okay, it's officially HOT here.
We have to say it felt like we were in hell today or as Melissa puts it “H E double hockey sticks”. We were even allowed to take some clothes off our little Sophia today. We brought the new stroller today to the baby house but we only walked around for about 10 minutes before we decided to go into the un-air conditioned building for some relief. Sophia really seemed content with the stroller and we think she will enjoy being pushed around the mall by Mommy. When we first walked into the babies room Sophia was sitting on the floor and she gave us some big smiles when she seen us. She really seems to like it when we arrive. We noticed that they seem to keep her separate from the other children. Is that a bad sign? Does she not play well with others? Actually they have said that since we have started to visit her she has been demanding more one on one attention from the care takers. We guess she likes all the attention she’s getting from us.
After our visit we went to a local café called Korizza and had a good meal. I had grilled shrimp (nothing like New Orleans shrimp), potatoes with onions, what they call a salad and Melissa had some pork and something similar to hash browns. We also couldn’t resist some desert today. One piece of chocolate cake and one chocolate and white cake with pineapples and peanuts. On the way home we stopped at a dress shop so Melissa could look for a dress for the Twilight ball. No luck today. We then went to the store and got some snacks to keep around the apartment. I know this is just all to exciting.
We also have to let Aunt Tara know that she isn’t the only one with goats in her back yard. Earlier today we looked out and seen a few walking around court yard. After a while some lady came by and it looked like she was trying to round them up.

I love this stroller! Does it double as a tricycle? It looks like she can almost reach the pedals. How colorful!
Hope you find something for the Twilight Ball. That would be fabulous.
Bill, I'm enjoying every little detail. Thank you for taking the time. I love all the descriptions.
It's almost like we are there.
Hugs!
Tamara
I am SO HAPPY for the both of you!! These blogs brighten my day -what a huge blessing this little "woman" has been! I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you, and asking frequently!! Nice to see a smile on your face, Melissa!! :)
Have a great day! :) Sheila
i loooove the pic of her lookin up at her Daddy! SOOO CUTE!!!
we were there in august and it was never what I'd call "hot", but then again,I live in Florida where it's currently 95 degrees and 100 million percent humidity. ;)
Even on days Tatiana was melting, I never broke a sweat and thought it was heavenly. I never missed not having an AC...but i think it depends on what you're used to..and also since we didnt' arrive until August 1st, i think we may have missed some of the more warm days. :)
I liked the weather there (when we were there) way better than Florida right now. We are MISERABLE it's so hot.ugh. :)
Thank goodness for beach breezes and lots of pool time, and aircondtioned Gymobree and kindermusic classes.
I am also glad to hear that your Sophia will like her time in the mall with mommy. :)
LOL
PS. iTS' very very dangerous having a lil girl to shop for. too many choices, too many matching accessories, especially when your lil darling is a pretty as Sophia. Everything looks great on them...:)
Thanks so much for the postcard from Kostanay. That was a nice surprise. Dylan was checking out where Kazakhstan is on the globe. He was surprised it was such a big country.
I agree with Tamara... I love all of your details Bill. I feel like I get to take a visit to Kazakhstan every time I read your blog. It is awesome!
Miss you both!
Marti
P.S. I am out of the loop... What is the Twilight Ball? I hope I wasn't left out because I like Jacob!
Ah, the Kazakh Mickey shot :) So cute! Is that Korizza off the main square? If so, there is also a great Chinese restaurant (with and English menu) on the same side. Isn't it amazing how hot it gets in the summer even though it gets unbelievably cold in the winter? I used to feel like I was melting.
She is so adorable! I love the pics of her in the stroller! Yeah on actual visitation starting! We were in VA for the week, and I felt so sad not being able to check up on you juys for an entire week! Seems everyone is doing GREAT, you all look very happy as a cute little family! Congratulations!
Khazikstani goats! How exciting! The bad news is that there may only be 3 left when you get back...the good news is we can have everyone over for dinner!
I was at a show last week and this guy that looked like Bill kept walking by the stand. I tried to snap a picture to send you but he was bookin' the last time past....
