Bad news, REALLY bad news.

Yesterday morning we got the worst phone call ever from our agency. They informed us that we need to cancel our trip. That's right three days before we're to depart and we're to magically cancel everything. We are told that our agency lost this referral. Why?? That's the million dollar question. Apparently the orphanage can't give a definite answer to that question so were left to speculate that someone else got there first or that the birth family returned and wanted her back. What ever the case we pray that she has found a good loving home.

Surly everyone will what to know what we will do from here. The only thing we can do, WAIT. We know that there will someday be a child in our lives. We may not ever know why but we know that this is the way it was meant to be and we will move forward. We know that there are some great things to come in our future and can't wait to experience them.

With work and all the final preparations, the last few days have been a little busy for us. Every night we've been wanting to post about the wonderful baby shower that we had on Sunday but was just to wiped out. Wanda, (Melissa's mom) with the help of some very dear friends and family put together the best surprise baby shower you could imagine. There was lots of friends and family there to share this joyous occasion with us. We had great food, cup cakes, mini cheese cakes and opened lots of wonderful presents. We can't say thank you enough.

Booked!!!!!!

It's official! We booked our plane tickets today. We are scheduled to leave Washington DC on 2/22/09 and arrive in Kostanai on 2/24/09. We have a short lay over in Frankfurt, Germany and an overnight stay in Astana, Kazakhstan.

We are so excited. We will soon see our little angel.
